(By all means I’ll be going back and making this look what will hopefully be ten times better, this is just an outline.)
Legal Name: Gael Sinead Reid
Nicknames: N/A
Gender: Female
DoB/Age: May 4th/ 20
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Attracted To: None currently
Exclusive With: None currently
Romantic Status: Single
Acquaintances: Everyone she’s met so far
Friends: Not applicable yet
“Enemies”: None that she knows of
Parents: Aideen and Fergus Reid (Sr.)
Siblings: Sorcha and Fergus Reid (Jr.)
Personality: (You can just scroll to the end for a summary.)
A bit shy in any and all new situation, Gael tends to be the awkward shadow to the whole shebang. She’s mostly comfortable in places that she’s comfortable in, and she doesn’t like being exposed to new places. Easily made nervous in social situations, she prefers to avoid speaking to people she doesn’t know. Formally the main essence in all those who are teased, Gael doesn’t often speak up for herself but not for lack of confidence though this can seem the case to many people, but more likely because she’d rather not make a scene. She often comes off as a bit cowardly, which isn’t far from the truth. Her wary nature makes her suspicious of most people and it isn’t uncommon for her to sit with her back to a wall. Her timid complexion makes her one of the first to jump from her seat when something unexpected happens; she’s known to be a very quick runner.
Not known for her open personality, it can be hard for Gael to completely be comfortable with someone. More frequently she’ll pester another poor soul for all the details on their life, and not say a word about hers. Often skipping over or pushing aside personal questions or topics on her personal life, Gael can be a very dodgy person to talk to when it comes to sensitive discussions. Very distrustful and marginally careful of strangers, Gael is the model student of putting up a blockage wall to filter conversations to and from things that she’d prefer to either talk about, or completely avoid. She could be considered manipulative in social encounters but in an awkward way. She tends to try to sway conversations into a direction of pointless banter as to avoid serious emotional talk, in which she has trouble putting into words her emotions.
Gael has no problem telling straight up lies if she feels that it will help her get around what she finds a threatening situation. As a matter of saying, Gael finds several situations threatening, and is such forth prone to lying. She is not much for the way of physical, verbal or even mental confrontation and as a cause of that, she often deflects even simple questions such as “How are you?” with lies, which can lead to people feeling wary of her.
To summarize, Gael is an awkward duckling who is prone to lying and manipulating situations to make the best out of them. She isn’t a very social person and will almost always prefer sitting with no one behind her as she is very distrustful of people and society in general. She’s very jumpy, bordering paranoid and gets nervous and edgy at the slightest commotion. She’ll often just freeze and sit tensely at the edge of her seat to analyze a situation completely before deeming the commotion friendly or offensive. She’s not a very open person and tends to do things that normally would make you distrustful or wary of her.
Appearance:
Overall a rather plain looking girl, Gael isn’t the kind of person who is going to catch your attention with her appearance. Her round face is often seen as childish, with the pouty cheeks to match and her down turned lips to guard away from friendly conversations. Her prominent eyes are a light green color, with a soft ring of brown around the iris. She is pale-skinned, and has light freckling over the bridge of her nose and across upper cheeks.
Her hair is possibly her best feature, somehow managing to be rather non-greasy looking and groomed at all times. This is probably due to her intense care of it. While looking rather disheveled and non-caring of the rest of her appearance, her light brunette hair seems to be pretty tidy, though quite a bit frizzy. Hair ending at high waist, Gael’s wavy hair is often pulled to the side and tied into a long braid before being thrown over her shoulder.
Gael has virtually no “curves” to speak of, being rather bony and straight figured. Probably at least 20 pounds under weight, her 5’4 height doesn’t give her much of an intimidating appearance. She doesn’t have a very athletic build, in fact she doesn’t have much of a “build” at all, appearing rather malnourished. Her cheeks are a bit sunken in which looks weird with how “puffy” her cheeks should look, and her pale skin has an ill, sallow look to it. She’s got dark bags under her eyes, and the redness around her eyes make it look like she’s been crying recently. All the time.
She’s normally found wearing a large, baggy grey hoodie at all times. Said hoodie has a nice hole through the elbow of it, and a long sleeved black shirt is normally worn underneath the hoodie. Her shoe accessories consist of black converses and whatever pair of socks she’s thrown on for the layer between shoe and foot. She's typically found in torn up blue jeans (Noted, not skinny jeans). She has multiple hair ties on her wrists, of varying colors, and she wears silver dog tags (Army style guys, she doesn't walk around with little silver dog bones.) around her neck, though with no imprinted name or date.
Checking the inventory of Gael’s hoodie pocket won’t get you very far. Typically stored there are as follows: a bag of saltines, her lighter, perhaps a spare dollar or two, and a silver-handled paring kitchen knife that she's not considerably adept with.
Brief History: Raised with two good-for-nothing siblings in a town house bordering a river, Gael was a quiet child who preferred to sit back and observe everything. Her mother was a stay-at-home drunk, while her father was constantly out of town on “business” and to say that Gael cooked her two younger and normally ungrateful siblings a meal or two would be to say the least. Normally getting the brute of her mother’s drunken tendencies, Gael was very much so a daddy’s girl. She ace’d her schooling up until 10th grade, upon where extraneous situations called for her parents’ divorce. From there she finished taking over her siblings’ wellbeing and basically locked her mother into a room of despair and alcohol, saved from responsibility. This continued on for awhile until Gael turned 18, her mother passed from liver failure and her father took custody of the two younger siblings. Pushed onto the streets, situations turned damper and darker until Gael forced her way to the Catacombs.
Extra:
- She was diagnosed with a mild case of alexithymia at the age of 11.
- If a lighter is ever needed, she can be counted on.
- She has slight pyromania tendencies.
- Warning to the wise, don’t lose her lighter. She's not very threatening, but she can be very annoying.
